Rainbow Cake 

Recipe:

 

Cake:

White cake mix                          2 box

Jel Coloring                                5 colors

 

Buttercream:

Unsalted Butter                       250g

Icing Sugar                                500g

Vanilla Extract                          1 tsp

 

 

 

* I realized that the white cake was too weak to handle the cream. So you might need to use another cake, like sponge cake or butter cake. The purple layer was falling apart and dense after putting another layer of cake on to it.  

Procedures:

  1. Following the instruction on the box to mix in ingredients that needed.

  2. Separate batter evenly into 5 bowls. Put in jel colors. (Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple)

  3. Bake each layer around 10-15 minutes.

  4. In a mixer bowl, cream the butter until fluffy and smooth.

  5. Slowly add in the icing sugar one cup at a time, until it all well combined.

  6. Add in the vanilla extract and pink coloring. Mix well

  7. Cover the cake with thin layer of cream. Refrigerate 30 minutes.

  8. Transfer the remaining cream into piping bag with rose tip. Take out the cake from the fridge.

  9. Slowly pipe the rose pattern on the cake. Three layers at the side and three layers on top.
