Sarah Chan is an international student from Malaysia who currently resides in Ames, Iowa. She is a senior majoring in Food Science and Industry at Iowa State University. Sarah’s interest for food started at an early age where growing up in a multiracial country exposed her to various cultures of food. Her hobby of baking drove her towards experimenting with recipes, such as substituting dairy with tofu in a cheesecake recipe. Her recipes also include many Asian delicacies due to her upbringing in a Chinese household. Furthermore, many of her ideas are inspired by friends and family with special dietary needs.
