basic bread dough 

Recipe:

 

Bread Flour                           270g

Instant Yeast                         3g

Sugar                                         35g

Salt                                             4g

Whole egg                                32g

Milk                                         138g

Butter                                     27g

Procedures:

  1. Microwave milk for about a minutes or so until it is warm (lukewarm, test by finger). Add in yeast and sugar and gently mix by a spoon. (Sugar is food for yeast and their optimum temperature is around 40 degree C, if the temperature is higher, it kills the yeasts.

  2. Put the flour in a large bowl, make a whole in the center, pour in the milk mixture. Add salt to the side (because it may kill the yeast). Then start mixing.

  3. Add in eggs and knead until it almost incorporated.

  4. Add in butter and knead unitl it forms a dough. 

  5. Set aside and let it rise for an hour (it might take longer than this, especially during winter time). It should be double in size.

  6. Give it a punch in the center to release the gas it produced. 

  7. Then start doing the bread you want. :)
